Our second CIRCLE Talk of the year focused on a topic that is currently high on the agenda for many businesses: “Deregulation between aspiration and reality – what businesses really need.”
We were delighted to welcome a distinguished speaker: Susanne Riess-Hahn, CEO of the WÜSTENROT Group and former Vice-Chancellor of Austria. In her talk, she examined how regulatory frameworks shape business decisions and where, from a practical perspective, adjustments are needed.
Rather than theoretical concepts, the focus was on concrete questions: How much regulation is necessary? Where does it stifle innovation? And how can a sensible balance be struck between oversight and entrepreneurial freedom?
The discussion that followed showed once again how differently people view this tension – and how important it is to talk about it openly.
